An endless feed chosen for them
A shared challenge they choose together
Their attention has a purpose: explore one meaningful problem, decide what they think, and make something for the real world.
Made live, with real friends
Deep is a live, collaborative app for curious kids aged 8–12. With 1–2 friends, they take on a real challenge about the universe, nature, or humans — and turn their own idea into a book they’re genuinely proud of, made with the best tools we could build.
Deep just launched — a new challenge every week.

Choose your challenge
One of a growing library of challenges.
Deep turns screen time into shared creative time: friends talking, thinking, building, and finishing something that matters.

Two friends meet weekly over live video to take on a creative challenge together.

They explore the challenge, come up with ideas, and use the microphone to capture their ideas quickly.

They create images together, turning the worlds and characters they imagine into something they can see.

Deep brings their words and images together into a short book they can shape and finish.

Their final booklet can be printed, so the work moves off the screen and becomes something real.

They share what they made together: a finished creation that reflects both of their ideas.
Technology in service of childhood
Deep is not designed to keep children scrolling. It is designed to help them use technology with purpose — as thinkers, creators, and friends.
An endless feed chosen for them
Their attention has a purpose: explore one meaningful problem, decide what they think, and make something for the real world.
Passive watching and tapping
Deep gives children tools to express their own ideas. The creative thinking stays with them — the technology helps bring it to life.
Alone with a screen
Deep is synchronous and social by design. Friends work through the same project at the same time, learning how to listen, disagree, and create together.
Kids take on the ones that excite them most — as many as they like, from a handful today, growing to dozens — each genuinely hard, genuinely useful, and genuinely fun to tackle with friends.
Make up a story about tardigrades with some true facts and some made-up lies.
Discover how trees can “text” each other chemical warnings before pests attack.
Interview a local, then publish your first episode.
Prototype, test with water, and present your design.
The idea is the fun part. Getting started, pushing through frustration, and actually finishing are where kids get stuck — so that's exactly what Deep's tools are built to help with. Created by educators from Teach For All, the British Council, and schools around the world.
The hardest parts are starting and finishing. Deep's tools break a big challenge into a first step kids can actually take — and guide them all the way to something done and worth sharing.
Curious kids often freeze when it isn't perfect. Deep gently encourages them to try, get feedback, and iterate — so 'good enough to improve' wins over 'too scared to start.'
When frustration hits, kids can press pause, step back, and return when they're ready. Deep takes the emotional side of hard work as seriously as the thinking.
